The Irish are well known for their fondness for tea, in fact, we drink more tea per capita in Ireland than anywhere else in the world. Tea is a part of our lives from a very young age and it accompanies us throughout all of life's ups and downs. If something goes wrong, we boil the kettle for brew, it's almost instinctive. When there's a bit of craic, the kettle gets boiled straight away. The Tradacna Tea Cup and Saucer is a break away from the more typical Belleek style of hand painted shamrocks. This tea cup and saucer set is instead painted in a lovely subdued tone of pink. Emphasis is placed around the rims and handle where the pink is slightly stronger. The tea cup and saucer have a clam shell style of texture, gently undulating around the body. The finish is glossy with guilt edging. |
