In Ireland we call a pretty young girl a 'colleen', a term that is used in many of our traditional Irish songs. A colleen would often be seen in town with a spring in her step and flower tied up in her hair. The Colleen Vase has a narrow waist and like any self-respecting Irish colleen has a bunch of emerald green shamrocks. An added feature of this vase is it's unique basket weave pattern that was first crafted by Michael Maguire all those many years ago. It is the perfect candidate to warm up any room with natural light and the fesh aroma of cut flowers. As with all our Belleek, this piece has been crafted and painted by hand in Ireland. |
