A photo of a loved one is something very special. As we would say in Ireland, it helps remind us of the nearest and dearest to us when they aren't about. The frame measures 10.5in tall and is 7.75in wide. The actual viewable area is 6.5in x 4.5in with a diagonal viewing length of 8in. As part of the Claddagh range the photo frame features the ancient Irish Claddagh symbol. The symbol is at the top of the frame and clearly shows the hands, heart and crown, which are symbolic of friendship, love and loyalty. According to Irish tradition, the Claddagh symbol came about after a young jeweler called Richard Joyce was kidnapped. He then created the symbol to show his appreciation for his girlfriend.
